This company organized her 1st edition in AJ CITY tagged AJEGUNLE FASHION SHOW 2010 on September 19th at Chop-Life Garden & Suite under the former name, EM’JAAAY CREATIONS, it was a show that helped to acknowledge the best designers located in Ajegunle/Olodi Apapa environs. It is a company that is set to better the lives of the local designers in different localities situated in the Mainland and Island. For that reason, this edition of the fashion show is being taken to Amuwo-Odofin local government to help show the creativity each locality can offer the public. The event will also be a platform to support and promote the businesses of these local designers bringing them to the international market.
While this fashion show would not have been possible without the support of the people of Festac and environs, we also attracted a large number of our key consumers of world fashions, designers and showbiz personalities. Marketing was focused locally as well as regionally to ensure the highest impact. For good public awareness, invitations were sent to several of our local electronic and print media such as Silver-Bird Television, Galaxy Television, Super-Screen Television, Television Continental (TVC), AIT, City People Magazine, Encomium Magazine, Spice TV, etc. to partner with us for the pre and post-promotion of this Event.
Designers for this event came from the Festac/Amuwo Odofin Lagos and other parts of Nigeria. Adverts and publicity were placed on Radio, TV stations, the internet and other advertising media. For designers, there was screening and those shortlisted were notified via email or text messages. Six designers showcased 15 to 20 different designs (both African and non-African). Thirteen models (professional and non-professional) were on the run-way.
There were other side attractions like music, dance, comedy and other creative arts both for upcoming and professional artists to lighten the atmosphere and also promote our Nigerian artists.
